One-of-a-kind, hand-knit creations made by two lovely work-at-home moms in the state of Virginia - Adrienne and Kiela of Cherry Blossom Knits - are the perfect breathable, natural-fiber covers for use over a fitted diaper or snappied prefold.

The hybrid design is a traditional pull-on soaker, with trim ribbing in the crotch to fit neatly under winter clothes and still stretch to accomodate even the bulkiest diapers with ease. This soaker features rolled leg openings for a snug, comfortable fit that offers blowout protection and keeps the wetness inside, where it belongs!

Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) Yarn used for these soakers comes from a special breed of sheep raised in Britain. This yarn is a very high-quality soft, yet strong, low-pilling yarn. This is Bubble Butt Boutique's Tier 3 Yarn. Kiela's new favorite!

WOOL CARE

Please hand-wash these soakers with a gentle wool wash bar, liquid wool wash, or baby shampoo in a sink full of tepid water. If you use baby shampoo, please add a small amount of liquid lanolin and swish it around before placing your soaker in the sink. Hand-dyed wool, esp. reds and blues, may not be entirely colorfast, so please wash separately. This should not affect the appearance of your wool soaker.

Occasionally, you'll need to relanolize your soaker. You'll know you need to relanolize when your soaker becomes damp/wet between diaper changes or begins to smell. Some people need to relanolize once a month, others can go up to six washings before needing to relanolize.

To relanolize, hand wash your soaker and let soak in wash water while you prepare the lanolin. Add 1/4 - 1/2 tsp of liquid lanolin (you can substitute Lansinoh, if you wish) to 1 cup of hot water and a small amount of wool wash or baby shampoo and mix well. Add contents to the bath, swish soaker around, and let soak for at least twenty minutes. Do not rinse out soaker. Squeeze out excess water, or roll into a towel, reshape, and dry flat. Never wring your wool!
